Lucy was with me at an important moment when my daughter was upset and frustrated but unable to express why. She was rolling her hands in her t-shirt with a few mutterings, but unable to explain what had happened.

Lucy had the emotional intelligence to gently suggest reasons as to why she might be upset, and with this information, my daughter started to relax and nod her head in agreement. With Lucy’s support and guidance, my daughter was able to express to her friend why she was upset and apologised for her behaviour; Lucy also helped her friend to apologise for what she had done also.
